I am what you may call a late-blooming author with a passion for storytelling. Born in Dallas, TX, and raised in Cleburne, TX, I developed a love for literature at an early age. After many adventures over the course of several years, I earned a B.A. in English with a concentration in Creative Writing from the University of North Texas.
Drawing upon firsthand experiences and observations from the perspective of a father, military Veteran, and proud member of Generation X, I like to craft narratives that explore what it means to balance the past with the present. My interests are often described as "eclectic," as I enjoy delving into various topics. My main areas of writing are focused on short fiction stories and nonfiction essays.
When not writing, I can be found exploring the great outdoors by writing, photography, and outdoor fitness for my side project, Backcountry Bard. I also tout the virtues of black coffee, support Veterans causes, and enage in communities that focus on the principles of Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt.
